What’s new in Lobby Magic

The new Generations section makes recent work easier to scan, navigate, and reopen without leaving your current page.

• Browse generations grouped into clear, dated batches

Game templates can now apply edge fades automatically when asset artwork reaches a selected thumbnail boundary. Configure each edge independently from the Masks section.

• Define exact fade positions and opacity levels
• Apply fades consistently to nested and animated asset layers

Backgrounds, logos, text, badges, and other effect layers remain unchanged.

Game templates can now include animation. Choose any animation available in the generation editor—including your team’s custom presets—then fine-tune its controls and preview the result directly on the template canvas.

Every game asset generated from an animated template automatically inherits the saved animation and settings.

A persistent game search and app-wide shortcuts make it faster to move around Lobby Magic without breaking focus.

Motion is now a first-class part of the editor, with controls for both quick treatments and detailed timing.

• Adjust playback duration, frame rate, and looping for the finished animation

The Animation tab in the Library now includes Coin Shower, a full-canvas 3D particle effect for high-impact thumbnails.

• Tune the amount, size, brightness, fall speed, spread, tumble, and cycle length

The Animation tab in the Library now includes Confetti, a new full-canvas particle effect for celebratory thumbnails.

Game Sync now understands release dates throughout the mapping workflow. Add a date while creating or editing a mapping, or include dates in an uploaded document.

• Imported dates stay attached while pending games are reviewed and mapped

We now support several more animation export formats, in addition to webp and svg. Parameters such as max file size continue to work across all formats.

Design teams can now copy static Library generations and paste them directly into Figma. Batch copies place each generation as its own frame, preserve layer ordering, and name layers from the source asset type, such as Background, Asset, and Logo.

Game detail pages now make it faster to move media into your workflow. Hover over an asset and copy it straight from the card, then paste it into the doc, design, chat, or workspace where you need it.

• Copy from the full-screen preview dialog when you are inspecting media up close
• If a browser cannot copy a file type directly, Lobby Magic copies the media link instead and tells you what happened

A trio of template editor upgrades to kick off July.

Default templates and generation rules can now mix preset sets with individual presets. Teams can keep broad preset-set coverage while pinning specific templates where a rule needs tighter creative control.

Template builders now have more precise controls for the details that make reusable layouts work across many games.

• Use negative badge padding offsets where a composition needs tighter placement
• Toggle suggested title line breaks and treat max lines as a true cap

Game list imports now accept TSV files, and CSV parsing handles quoted fields correctly. Paste from a spreadsheet or upload the file -- either way, your rows match cleanly.

Campaign banner editing is now smoother and more direct. Banner controls live in the editor sidebar, banners can be renamed inline, and preview loading is more reliable while moving between campaign assets.

Custom animations now support automatic layer targeting. Lobby Magic can choose the best background, logo, or symbol layers for a motion prompt, while still giving you manual layer selection and intensity controls when you want more direction.

Search and import flows can now surface matching games from providers your team has not enabled yet. Enable the provider from the flow, then add the game to roadmap or generation queues without losing context.

Game Sync for the API now has its own management page. Review sync runs, inspect how incoming rows were matched to games, and export the full mapping as CSV for auditing.

The roadmap now has a proper timeline view of upcoming game releases. Better still, releases can auto-generate their assets: when a game's release date arrives, Lobby Magic queues the generations for you, batched per team.

Game-list imports are more resilient across large spreadsheets and messy provider data.

Getting assets out of Lobby Magic at scale is now painless. Library downloads stream as they're built and run as durable background jobs, so even very large exports finish reliably.

The animation composer now exposes per-layer controls, so you can decide exactly which layers move and how. Layer previews show each animation in isolation before you commit to a full render.

Games that ship through multiple providers are now first-class. A game can belong to several providers at once, with provider filters, imports, and generation all aware of the mapping.

Need to hand assets to a designer or another tool? You can now export a thumbnail's individual layers -- background, character, logo, text -- instead of only the flattened composite.

The billing page has been rebuilt around a sidebar layout with much clearer usage reporting.

Templates are no longer limited to your uploaded brand fonts. The font selector now combines team fonts with the Google Fonts catalogue, rendered correctly in previews and exports alike.

Two new styling tools landed this week. Background blur adds depth behind your focal layers, and text variants give no-logo presets multiple typographic treatments of the game name, so every thumbnail still looks designed even without artwork.

Lobby Magic now has a public API. Create team-scoped API tokens, trigger generations in batches, and pull finished assets straight into your own pipeline.

Game names now fit more reliably across templates, especially when titles contain accents, unusual spacing, or need more complex line breaks. Later rendering updates also improved accented built-in text output across preview and export paths.

Animated thumbnails have arrived. A new motion editor lets you preview and tune animation presets, and provider logos can now animate as part of the composition. Animated variants can be exported alongside your static assets.

Thumbnails can now be exported as SVG, so your assets stay pixel-perfect at any size. SVG exports respect templates, text layers, and gradients, and can be scaled on download without quality loss.

We rebuilt the two pages you spend the most time in. The library now selects, filters, and previews generations far more smoothly, and the games page has been redesigned from the ground up.
