Changelog

What's new in Lobby Magic

New features, improvements, and fixes — as they ship.

July 2026

Improved

Release dates in Game Sync

Map release dates from uploads straight into your roadmap.

Game Sync now understands release dates throughout the mapping workflow. Add a date while creating or editing a mapping, or include dates in an uploaded document.

  • Release dates are recognised in CSV, spreadsheet, PDF, image, and text imports
  • Dated games are added to the roadmap automatically
  • Imported dates stay attached while pending games are reviewed and mapped
New

New formats for animation exports

Export animations as MP4, WebM or GIF.

We now support several more animation export formats, in addition to webp and svg. Parameters such as max file size continue to work across all formats.

New

Copy library generations to Figma

Copy static library generations into Figma with editable frames and preserved layer names.

Design teams can now copy static Library generations and paste them directly into Figma. Batch copies place each generation as its own frame, preserve layer ordering, and name layers from the source asset type, such as Background, Asset, and Logo.

  • Copy a full batch from the Library toolbar or a single generation from its hover action
  • Paste into Figma with editable frames and preserved layer names
  • Animated generations are skipped with guidance because Figma copy does not support them yet
Improved

Copy media from game details

Quickly copy and paste game assets from a game detail page into wherever you are working.

Game detail pages now make it faster to move media into your workflow. Hover over an asset and copy it straight from the card, then paste it into the doc, design, chat, or workspace where you need it.

  • Copy source assets, generated thumbnails, videos, and animations without downloading first
  • Copy from the full-screen preview dialog when you are inspecting media up close
  • If a browser cannot copy a file type directly, Lobby Magic copies the media link instead and tells you what happened
New

Template sets, gradient text and strokes

Organise templates into sets and style text with gradients.

A trio of template editor upgrades to kick off July.

  • New template sets view for organising related templates together
  • Gradient fills for text layers, plus gradient strokes
  • Template names now autosave as you type
Improved

More flexible generation defaults and rules

Default templates and generation rules can now mix preset sets with individual presets for finer automation control.

Default templates and generation rules can now mix preset sets with individual presets. Teams can keep broad preset-set coverage while pinning specific templates where a rule needs tighter creative control.

June 2026

Improved

Advanced template layout controls

Template builders now have more precise overlay positioning, container size bounds, badge offsets, and title line-break controls.

Template builders now have more precise controls for the details that make reusable layouts work across many games.

  • Position overlays with scale, placement, and offset controls
  • Set min/max bounds for hug-sized text containers
  • Use negative badge padding offsets where a composition needs tighter placement
  • Toggle suggested title line breaks and treat max lines as a true cap
Improved

TSV imports and sturdier CSV handling

Import game lists from TSV files, with better CSV parsing too.

Game list imports now accept TSV files, and CSV parsing handles quoted fields correctly. Paste from a spreadsheet or upload the file -- either way, your rows match cleanly.

Improved

Campaign banner editing improvements

Campaign banners are easier to edit with sidebar controls, inline renaming, and smoother preview loading.

Campaign banner editing is now smoother and more direct. Banner controls live in the editor sidebar, banners can be renamed inline, and preview loading is more reliable while moving between campaign assets.

Improved

Auto-layer custom animation

Custom animations can now target the right layers automatically, with manual controls when you need them.

Custom animations now support automatic layer targeting. Lobby Magic can choose the best background, logo, or symbol layers for a motion prompt, while still giving you manual layer selection and intensity controls when you want more direction.

New

Discover games from providers not enabled

Search and import flows now surface matching games from available providers, with quick enable actions.

Search and import flows can now surface matching games from providers your team has not enabled yet. Enable the provider from the flow, then add the game to roadmap or generation queues without losing context.

New

Game Sync management

A dedicated page for managing game list synchronisation.

Game Sync for the API now has its own management page. Review sync runs, inspect how incoming rows were matched to games, and export the full mapping as CSV for auditing.

New

Roadmap timeline and release auto-generation

Plan upcoming releases on a timeline and let assets generate themselves.

The roadmap now has a proper timeline view of upcoming game releases. Better still, releases can auto-generate their assets: when a game's release date arrives, Lobby Magic queues the generations for you, batched per team.

Improved

Smarter game-list imports

Large uploads, alias matching, row-level matching, quoted CSVs, and provider matching all got more robust.

Game-list imports are more resilient across large spreadsheets and messy provider data.

  • Large uploads are handled through a sturdier upload flow
  • Rows can be matched and reviewed individually
  • Alias-aware search improves game matching
  • Quoted CSV rows and provider matching are handled more reliably
New

Bulk library downloads

Download your whole library -- or a date range -- as a single zip.

Getting assets out of Lobby Magic at scale is now painless. Library downloads stream as they're built and run as durable background jobs, so even very large exports finish reliably.

  • Streamed zip downloads with per-provider folder structure
  • Durable download jobs that survive long-running exports
  • Date-range filters, including optional generation-time bounds

May 2026

New

Custom animation composer

Per-layer animation controls for fully custom motion.

The animation composer now exposes per-layer controls, so you can decide exactly which layers move and how. Layer previews show each animation in isolation before you commit to a full render.

New

Multi-provider game support

One game, many providers -- tracked and filtered correctly.

Games that ship through multiple providers are now first-class. A game can belong to several providers at once, with provider filters, imports, and generation all aware of the mapping.

New

Thumbnail layer exports

Export the individual layers that make up a thumbnail.

Need to hand assets to a designer or another tool? You can now export a thumbnail's individual layers -- background, character, logo, text -- instead of only the flattened composite.

April 2026

Improved

Redesigned billing with usage breakdowns

A clearer billing page with per-cycle usage detail.

The billing page has been rebuilt around a sidebar layout with much clearer usage reporting.

  • Per-cycle usage breakdown with sizes, animations, and game names
  • Stripe receipt links on paid invoices
  • Payment method deferred until you actually pick a plan
New

Custom AI animations

AI-generated animated game assets, with optional custom prompts.

Our biggest animation release yet. The custom animation pipeline uses AI to generate rich animated versions of your game assets -- far beyond preset keyframes.

  • AI-powered animated asset generation for any game
  • Optional custom prompts to steer the animation style
  • Animated results delivered straight into your library as WebM

March 2026

New

Google Fonts and a starter template gallery

Pick from the full Google Fonts catalogue and start from curated templates.

Templates are no longer limited to your uploaded brand fonts. The font selector now combines team fonts with the Google Fonts catalogue, rendered correctly in previews and exports alike.

  • Combined font selector with team fonts and Google Fonts
  • Server-side font loading so exports match previews exactly
  • New starter templates gallery with a filter sidebar and per-style game previews

February 2026

New

Background blur and text variants

More ways to style thumbnails when a game has no logo.

Two new styling tools landed this week. Background blur adds depth behind your focal layers, and text variants give no-logo presets multiple typographic treatments of the game name, so every thumbnail still looks designed even without artwork.

New

Public API and developer docs

Generate and fetch assets programmatically with team-scoped API keys.

Lobby Magic now has a public API. Create team-scoped API tokens, trigger generations in batches, and pull finished assets straight into your own pipeline.

  • Team-scoped API keys with usage visibility
  • Batch generation endpoints
  • Full reference documentation at /api-docs

January 2026

Improved

Better title fitting and game-name handling

Game names fit more reliably, including accented characters and more complex title layouts.

Game names now fit more reliably across templates, especially when titles contain accents, unusual spacing, or need more complex line breaks. Later rendering updates also improved accented built-in text output across preview and export paths.

New

Motion editor and provider animations

Bring thumbnails to life with animated variants.

Animated thumbnails have arrived. A new motion editor lets you preview and tune animation presets, and provider logos can now animate as part of the composition. Animated variants can be exported alongside your static assets.

New

SVG export pipeline

Export thumbnails as crisp, scalable SVG files.

Thumbnails can now be exported as SVG, so your assets stay pixel-perfect at any size. SVG exports respect templates, text layers, and gradients, and can be scaled on download without quality loss.

December 2025

Improved

Redesigned library and games pages

A faster, cleaner home for your games and generated assets.

We rebuilt the two pages you spend the most time in. The library now selects, filters, and previews generations far more smoothly, and the games page has been redesigned from the ground up.

  • New card grid in the library with multi-select and batch actions
  • Variant previews directly on library cards
  • Redesigned games page with quicker search and filtering
